We are a bricks and mortar retail business and as such we are able to offer our customers the best of both worlds - the peace of mind that comes with buying from an established high street business combined with very competitive online prices, offering great customer savings. You will receive a full sales receipt with your goods as well as a complimentary insurance valuation, where appropriate (ie in the absence of the original manufacturer's paperwork) . We offer a wide range of payment options (including credit and debit cards) so you can purchase from us with complete peace of mind. Please note that all credit card payments are subject to a 1.5% processing charge. Ancient and Modern are always keen to offer their customers fair part-exchange deals and to buy quality new and pre-owned watches.
Each and every one of our pre-owned watches has received a full case and bracelet valet prior to being dispatched to the customer. During this process any surface scratches are professionally polished out by our onsite watchmaker to ensure that your pre-owned watch is as indistinguishable from a brand new watch as possible.
All our watches are very carefully examined and security checked (all Rolex watches are checked against the Rolex’s lost and stolen register at Bexley before they are offered for sale) We also ensure that ALL RELEVANT TAXES AND DUTIES have been paid on each and every watch we supply - remember that knowingly buying non EU watches for which the VAT and customs duty has NOT been paid not only constitutes a criminal offence with heavy penalties but can also lead to difficulties with insurance.
After-Sales
We offer excellent after-sales service and are always here to help with any problems. We are also well placed to help in the long term care of your watch when it comes to servicing and repairs etc. We offer a 7 day satisfaction guarantee with each and every one of our watches and if customers are disatisfied with their purchase for ANY reason a full refund/exchange will be given provided that goods are returned in exactly the same condition in which they were dispatched (in the case of unworn watches the wear seals must still remain intact). All pre-owned watches are covered by our own 12 month mechanical warranty.
Delivery
All items will be professionally packaged and will be dispatched for next day fully insured delivery upon clearance of payment (Our own insurance policy covers any value above the maximum £2500 insurance offered by the Royal Mail). Customers are also welcome to collect their goods IN PERSON (this is BY PRIOR APPOINTMENT ONLY as many stock items are not stored at our premises). UK postage will be charged at only £15 for fully insured next day delivery via Royal Mail Special Delivery. International deliveries within Europe will be delivered fully insured via Royal Mail International Signed-For at a charge of only £30.
